This week im reviewing eyeliner. I use eyeliner every day and the liner that I use is Physicians Formula gel liner. I feel that I get a much better results with the gel liner and a brush than I do with pencil or liquid. When I first started doing makeup I thought winged liner was a look I was incapable of, but I practiced many times and now I wear it daily, I feel naked without wings. I use different tyes of brushes depending on the look, flat, angled, smudgy, detailed or pencil, having different shapes of liner brushes extends your liner wardrope. The brand I love is Physicians Formula shimmer strips, I have had all of these for years and they haven't dried out, your get three different colors for less than ten dollars, and pretty good selection of colors. I use black and brown a lot, but I reach for blue, purple, green, even bronze sometimes. These liners come with some variety of finishes as well, satin, shiny and of course shimmer/glitter. The glitter ones are subtle and are a fun way to punch up your look without being over the top. I have even used these liners as eyeshadow bases here or there before I had Maybelline color tatoos, which I have also used as liners on occasion. There are times when I use powder or cream shadow for eyeliner depending on the look I am doing, these work just fine but for eyeliner im set with my shimmer strips, I have had them for years and I think they may last forever. What are your favorite liners, I would love to know. Have a great day.

Hair color hijinks
I color my hair myself every one to two months. Recently I have been experimenting with different brands of dark brown to black haircolor. Since I don't need lift only deposit I have been using mostly demi permanent dyes. One of my favorite brands for many years has been Herbal Essences. I recently used the demi permanent dye in shade darkest brown, my color turned out great and my hair was not damaged. About three weeks later I decided to use the included color refresher, a new to me product. I spread the refresher over my fading hair, I was concerned about the small amount and that the product had a redish hue. I left it on for the prescribed 10 minutes and when I passed the mirror to my shower I was releived to see a black brown paste on my head. After shampooing, conditioning and drying I was horified to see my hair is a brick red shade, totally not ok as my boss has a strict no ginger policy. I had to fix it and fast, I was working that night. I sent my husband to the grocery store with many emailed options for permanent black hair color, I didn't want to take anymore chances, the refresher not only did not refresh my color it completely stripped it. The grocery store had none of the brands on my list so my bewildered husband asked a sales clerk for help, she suggested Nice n Easy permanent coloring foam in black. Before this I had never used Nice and Easy or a foam format. I did like the foam park it makes coloring your hair less messy and much easier. Easy as it was, it was not nice. The smell was very offending even for hair dye and it left my hair quite dry and a solid fake looking black, so much for the promised tones and highlights. At least im finished with hair color drama this month, I may try another foam but it wont be Nice and Easy.
Smoke in my eyes
I love a good smoky eye and this is a simple look with major impact. I smoked out my black liner with cool brown shadow and added lots of mascara. I then put on peachy pink blush and pink lips, as allways drugstore makeup, if you would like a product breakdown just ask, have a great day

A little on skincare
Taking care of your skin is probably the most important part of beauty. My advice would be to clean your makeup off every night and wear sunblock everyday. You don't need masks and scrubs and peels, and definitely never ever pick at blemishes. Be gentle with your skin take good care of it and it will take care of you. Having good skin not only looks nice it protects you from germs that can get in and make you sick.
Time for another primer review. I told you about my HG prime, the Revlon photo ready perfecting primer. I do love this primer but it just isn't cutting it for summer weather, my makeup seems to fall apart when Im sweating. I tried the Neutrogena shine free primer, it dud help my makeup last but not long enough. I really expect a lot from my makeup up to 20 hours of continuous wear. I knew of a primer that could deliver. L'oreal magic perfecting primer really makes your makeup last. Im not a fan of the jar packaging I find it non-sterile and somewhat difficult to get just the right amount, also I seem to be able to feel it on my face a feeling im not a fan of. The finish is very natural and by the time in finished with all my makeup I don't feel the primer anymore, also it plays well with my powder foundation. I would recommend this primer to anyone with serious demands of their makeup, and as for the Neutrogena shine free primer, it didnt make my skin overy dry but it did keep shine away, if you are looking for a matte finish for your makeup I would give it a try.
